One of the main streets in New York is Wall Street, a synonym of capitalism, because there you can find many banks and offices of many large corporations.The Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre, that were destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, were also there.
New York is the home of the United Nations organization.
The higher 39-storeyed sky-scraper is occupied by the UNO secretariat and the lower building is the place where the General Assembly is held. The UN Secretariat building was the first steel-and-glass skyscraper in the USA.
