The 4-th of July is the American nation’s birthday. On this day the Americans celebrate Independence Day. They honour the day in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was adopted in Philadelphia. The country of 13 states was given the name of “The United States of America”.

On the 30-th of May the Americans celebrate Memorial Day to honour those who gave their lives in past wars.

And on the 11-th of November, when they have Veterans’ Day, they honour the compatriots who fell in the two World Wars.
