THE LONDON EYE
The London Eye (or Millennium Wheel) is a giant 135-metre tall observation wheel situated on the banks of the River Thames in the British capital.
It took seven years and the skills of hundreds of people from five countries to make the London Eye a reality.
Since opening in March 2000 it has become an iconic landmark and a symbol of modern Britain.
It is one of the tallest observation wheels in Europe, and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, visited by over 3.5 million people annually.
The London Eye stands at 135 metres high above the South Bank of the River Thames, between Waterloo and Westminster Bridges, opposite Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
